Mandy McIntosh designs knitting patterns that are freely available on-line. The Sighthill Gala Queen Knitting Pattern is based on the buildings found in Sighthill, North Glasgow. It explores the visual impact of pattern on the buildings, with Modernist grid structures decorated with the same logic found in traditional craft, including Fair Isle knitting, Zulu beadwork or Navaho weaving. The Knitting Kit comes with pattern, bamboo needles, darning needle and yarn- shorn, dyed and spun in Shetland.
